This project examines the graphic communication of information, otherwise known as
“information graphics”, or simply “infographics”.

In order for society to function, information in countless forms must be disseminated in a
manner that can be clearly understood. While such information commonly takes verbal and
written form, visual language is increasingly relied upon to facilitate information flow. For
example: a map serves to guide people from one location to another; step-by-step
instructions aid people in assembling flat-packed furniture; signage and diagrams are used
to clarify otherwise confusing entities and situations.
